Mt. Burney Theatre: August 10, 2008

Mount Burney Theatre screening poster for Tristan Howard ProductionsPREPARATION
Less than a month after my Fall River screening, The Wildlife of Little Hot Springs Valley showed at the Mt. Burney Theatre in Burney, CA. I arrived early to get my display table ready. I was pleased to see my documentary’s title on the outdoor marquee sign. I also appreciated seeing my poster at the ticket booth. There wasn’t much room in the lobby, so I set my materials up in the main screening room.

Eventually, people showed up and I talked briefly to some of them. A few folks were also buying DVDs. Donna counted about 55 people in attendance. My documentary played from beginning to end, and the power never went out, which was nice. Afterward, there was a strong dash of applause. After the main audience had left, a few people stuck around to talk to me and buy DVDs.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I want to thank Donna Sylvester for making the screening possible and for giving out popcorn to the audience. I’m also thanking the Mt. Burney Theatre staff for their popcorn-serving and cleanup efforts. Pus, I’m thankful to everyone who showed up at my screening.
